Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Feliz Navidad a todos!!! I hope everyone had a great Christmas!! It was amazing down here, I honestly don´t think there is a better way to spend it than as a missionary. Life is good :)

On Christmas eve president invited us over to his house to celebrate. It was super fun, we played ping pong for a few hours, ate great food, and just talked. It was a fun night. When we returned to our apartment we spent about an hour watching the amazing amounts of fireworks throughout the city. It really is amazing to see, especially from our 9th floor apartment. I love this place :)

The rest of the week was spent preparing for transfers. Starting today, the mission will no longer have 6 zones, but 12. It´s gonna be great, we´ll be able to keep track of the missionaries a lot better. We are expecting to see some good results from the change. Should be fun, I love change :)

Thats pretty much my week, sorry this email is so short, we´ve got to head out now to transfer a few missionaries. Thanks for everything, especially your support and prayers. I love you all!

Feliz Navidad!!

Feliz Navidad to everyone!! I can´t believe that Christmas is already here! What an awesome time of year. Especially to be in Argentina :) Nothing better than a hot and humid Christmas :)

It´s been a great week down here, busy as usual. We finished up the last two zone conferences this week and they were great, I think the best ones we had. The spirit was so strong and I felt it so much as I was able to teach and bear my testimony. I´ve decided that one of the best feelings on earth is that that comes as one teaches powerfully with the spirit. There is nothing like it. In both the conferences I had missionaries come up to me after and thank me for the video that we put together and my testimony, admitting that they had forgotten why they´d come here but now they remember. Of course it wasn´t me, but the spirit who helped them remember that. It´s gratifying to know that you are able to be a tool for the spirit to tough the hearts of people.

Busy as always

What a week!! It was full of zone conferences and planning for the new year with president. We are planning a few changes in the missio that will be fun, it´s been taking a lot of our time, but it´s worth it.

Highlight of the week: Yesterday our new convert Pablo recieved the aaronic preisthood. It was such a special moment. Tears were lining his face as the blessing was ended. It still amazes me sometimes how much the gospel has changed him and how happy he is now. We had a lesson with him the other day and he just told us story after story of the blessings that he is seeing in his life. He even started a bible class in his house with a few friends that work with him in the train. Last sunday we learned about the sabbath day in church and he went home to put what he had learned in practice. He went to a park and found someone who looked like he needed help and sat down and talked with him about God for a few hours. What if every member used their sabbath day like that? He is such an exabple to me of a person really striving to act as Christ would act.

We also found a few new investigatores this week that are great! The lord really is putting us in the right places at the right time. I love this chance to be a tool in his hands. I love you all, have a great week!!

Zone Conferences

It´s been another great and super busy week!! This week was completly filled with praparacion for the zone conferences and actually doing them. And wow, the two that we did turned outed so awesome!!

Last week Elder Tenhoeve and I had been thinking a lot about how we wanted to teach in the zone conferences. Zone conferences are super important becasue it is the best chance we have to motivate and help the missionaries. We had already decided with president the topics, but we were struggling with ideas for how we wanted to present them. So we were just thinking and thinking and praying and putting a bunch of things on paper of things that could motivate our missionaries and finally the inspiration hit us. What is one of the most spiritual and life changing moments that every missionary has expirienced? And that a lot have on film? The answer: opening your mission call. We decided to send an email to all the parents of the missionaries asking for a video or at least a picture of their missionary opening their call. We weren´t sure if we would get many responses. But wow, missionary parents are the best, we got so many excited responses from so many parents.  We ended up making a twenty minute video of the different misionaries in the mission opening their calls. All to the best mision in the world of Argentina Buenos Aires South. And every day we are still recieving more videos to add. We showed the video to two zones this week and it was awesome. It was one of the most spiritual zone conferences of my mission and it enthused the missionaries a ton. Even President and his wife were crying. We are super excited to keep going with the conferences this next week  :)
