New Transfer!

Great week! Week one of the transfer is always my favorite even though it is by far one of the busiest. On Tuesday the new missionaries arrived and at the same time President took his son to the airport to head to his mission in Peru. That was fun trying to plan around all of that and still do everything that was needed with the new missionaries. It all went really well though, the new missionaries are great, they bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the mission.

Friday we had leadership council and it went really well. Then on saturday we had some time to work in our area and we found two new investigators that are awesome, They are named Walter and Andrea. Last week a little old lady in our ward gava us their names as a referral. And wow they are awesome! They have a huge desire to change their lives and come closer to God. And they are already doing it on their own. They aren´t married but we found out yesterday that they already have a date to get married! And we didn´t even have to invite them to do it or anything. Pretty cool, that pretty much never happens here. So we´re excited to see how things go.

It was a good week, this week we start the zone conferences which will be great! Zone Conferences are always a ton of fun. Well, I hope everyone has a great week! Thanks for everything!

Transfers!

Great week! It flew by, I think every week just gets faster and faster. Not much to write about this week though because most of the week was spent with president preparing the transfers in the mission. I am staying here in Banfield 2 for the 7th transfer now, going on the 4th with my comp Elder Tenhoeve! I´m super content with that though, I love my comp and I love being able to work so much with president, I still have a lot to learn from him.

Yesterday Daniel Calquin, the son of President, gave his farewell talk in church. He leaves tomorrow to serve in Arequipa, Peru! It´s always cool to see missionaries heading out, but especially when it is the son of your president. He´ll be an awesome missionary. He invited us to see him be set apart tonight at 7 which will be really neat.

Sorry this email is so short, sometimes my mind just kinda goes blank when I sit down to write. And now I´m pretty much out of time. Thanks For everything, I hope you all have a great week!! I love you all!

Barber Burton

In the first transfer on my mission I decided that I didn't want to have to pay for a haircut every month of my mission, so I bought a hair cutting machine and learned how to cut my own hair and that of my comp. As I´ve gone through the mission people have found out that I can cut hair without totally destroying their head, until now I´ve reached the point where I cut around 2 missionaries hair almost every week. I´m officially the barber of the office missionaries and today they nicknamed me "Barber Burton". Jaja, it´s fun though, a good way to serve the other missionaries :) And who knows, maybe it´ll help me pay for a little bit of college one day ;)

It´s been a great week! We finished up the interviews this week with the last 4 zones of the mission. They went really well. We have been talking a lot with the missionaries about the importance of true desires to preach the gospel and help people make covenants like baptism with their heavenly father. Lots of people in life say they have desires to do things. But the interesting thing about desires is that if they are real, they will always be backed by action and work. If not, is it really a true desire? The things that are most important for us in life always have priority in our time and efforts. It has made me think a lot about what desires I show to God and others by my actions.

The rest of the week was spent with president preparing the transfers for next week which is always fun. It should be good, we feel good about the next transfer. It´s amazing to see how inspiration works sometimes.

I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for all that you do!
