Barber
Burton
In the
first transfer on my mission I decided that I didn't want to have to pay for a
haircut every month of my mission, so I bought a hair cutting machine and
learned how to cut my own hair and that of my comp. As I´ve gone through the
mission people have found out that I can cut hair without totally destroying
their head, until now I´ve reached the point where I cut around 2 missionaries
hair almost every week. I´m officially the barber of the office missionaries
and today they nicknamed me "Barber Burton". Jaja, it´s fun though, a
good way to serve the other missionaries :) And who knows, maybe it´ll help me
pay for a little bit of college one day ;)
It´s been
a great week! We finished up the interviews this week with the last 4 zones of
the mission. They went really well. We have been talking a lot with the
missionaries about the importance of true desires to preach the gospel and help
people make covenants like baptism with their heavenly father. Lots of people
in life say they have desires to do things. But the interesting thing about
desires is that if they are real, they will always be backed by action and
work. If not, is it really a true desire? The things that are most important
for us in life always have priority in our time and efforts. It has made me
think a lot about what desires I show to God and others by my actions.
The rest
of the week was spent with president preparing the transfers for next week
which is always fun. It should be good, we feel good about the next transfer.
It´s amazing to see how inspiration works sometimes.
I hope you
all have a great week! Thanks for all that you do!
Les
