Hey
Everyone!
Hey
Everyone!
Sorry this email is a little
late, we had temple P-day this week so my p-day is on Wednesday. Going to the
temple was awesome, we also had interviews with President McClure which made it
even better, and we were fed lunch by Elder and Sister Von Forrell, the missionary
couple who works at the mission office. They gave us tacos and enchiladas, it
was awesome!
This week was full of
miracles! On Sunday we had stake conference, and I got to see an investigator
named Kairi San that I taught while I was in Eniwa, and he was getting baptized
that day! I was so excited! It was such a blessing to get to see him again
right before his baptism. He is such a great person. That same day, we were
knocking doors in an apartment building and one man let us in to sit down in his
house(that's the first time that's happened to me in Japan) and we taught him
the whole first lesson! We also set up an appointment for next week. But then
in the last door of that same apartment we found a less active member who
hadn't been to church in three years! And he wants to come back to church and
quit smoking, and he agreed to team up for the lesson with the investigor we
had just met! Huge miracle! We also met a lady who almost rejected us right off
but then asked if we were Mormon and then said her parents and little sister
were Mormon! She still didn't agree to meet but she was definitely intrigued
and I think we left a good impression so hopefully she'll start looking into it
a little more now. Then we also got two referrals from other areas this week!
So there are a lot of miracles happening in Ebetsu, the work is hastening!
Also, Happy Father's Day to everyone, especially to my amazing dad, sorry it's
a little late! I love you all! Have a great week!
Love,
Elder
Burton
