Hey
Everyone!
This week was great! We got to
go to Obihiro and Wednesday and Thursday to do a baptismal interview and
exchanges. The interview was for an 11 year old and he's awesome! It was fun
interviewing him, he was very prepared. It was also fun working in Obihiro
because it was warm! But it's actually been really warm the last couple days in
Kushiro too, yesterday was my first full day wearing short sleeves and not
regretting it haha.
We also met a person who used
to meet with the missionaries who is a member of the Orthodox church, it was
interesting talking with him, he knew a lot about Christian history and didn't
believe there was an apostasy, so he didn't understand the need for a
restoration. But we testified about Joseph Smith's experience and how through
prayer and the Book of Mormon he could know it was true himself, and he agreed
to read and pray and said we could come back so that was cool. It's exciting
when people are willing to act in faith on something they hear from us even if
it's different from what they've learned or done their whole lives. I'm excited
to continue teaching him. We also had a man we met multiple times on the street
come to our sports activity, which was fun, a lot of other people came too and
everyone had a good time. That's about all for this week, it was fun! Hope you
all are doing great as well! Love you all, have a great week!
Love,
Elder
Burton
