Email May 12, 2014 – Elder Kenneth William Burton

Bunch of Burtons

On Thursday we had Zone training and then a Zone activity playing capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, and ultimate spoons on a wet field in the rain. It was a lot of fun! You couldn't cut at all as you were running other wise you would slide out and fall on your back. Everyone was covered in mud by the end of the day. And for the next few days we were super stiff and sore. It was worth it though. 

During personal study earlier this week I discovered/made a quote. "Righteousness and Disobedience are exactly the same, with each step they both become easier." Every time we make a choice, whether down the path of righteousness or down the path of disobedience, it becomes easier to continue down that path. If a poor decision was made its easier to sin the next time faced with a temptation. When we choose the right, we join back on Gods side and he gives us help, making it easier to make the right choice the next time. Its so important for us to always choose the right so that we will always have God to be with us and that we will be protected form the fiery darts of the adversary. 

 Time just feels so weird right now. Every time we go to bed now its still as bright as if it were 20:00 (or 8:00 pm I guess). It makes it annoying trying to fall asleep. We're going to buy some tin foil today to put up over the windows in our bed room. The days are all getting jumbled to. It doesn't feel like just yesterday we were skyping home. 

Did you hear the Apostles are on Twitter now? Kind of crazy, I've never even had a twitter.
