Thoughts
of the week
This week
has been great! Super busy as usual, but that is definitely a good thing when
you are in the work of the Lord. On Tuesday we finished the last zone conference
and it went really well. All of the
missionaries left really excited to work and fulfill the new goals that we put.
The rest of the week we got into our cycle of interviews which has gone well
also. I am teaching a little bit about vision and setting goals to reach our
visions. I feel like it´s gone well up till now.
Here are a
few thoughts that have been on my mind this week:
Good works
must be accompanied by good desires and vice versa. It happens so much that we
do a good act because we know it´s what should be done but we don´t do it with
our heart. We don´t honestly desire to do it. It talks about that a lot in
Moroni 7 and also Alma 41. Also a lot of times we have a desire to do something
good but we never actually put that desire in action. obviously that is
pointless. Both good works and good desires are needed for us to become good
people.
I read a
talk this week that talked a bit about how we are our own greatest work and
most important creation. One day each one of us will stand before God with
nothing. In that moment we will know how successful we were in this life by
what kind of person we are. Knowing that we must make all decisions with the
purpose to build who we are, not just what we own or have. Also that is why it
is so important that we literally flee from sin and temptation, anything that
could possibly bring us down and impede us on the path towards Jesus Christ.
It´s been a great week, I love this work. I
hope everyone has a great week!
